The Edit Toolbar

The buttons in the edit toolbar allow to choose different working modes for the map display. At any give point in time, can have only one mode active.

The whole left panel visibility can be toggled on and off in the main menu view, for more activation steps see Help/JOSM interface customization.

Modes

There might be more buttons depending on the loaded plugins and activated items.

  • Not all modes are visible in normal JOSM user mode, however you can always customize the toolbar to your needs.
  • The button group below the map modes affect the display of dialog windows. These are described under Toggle Dialogs.
