Concepts ¶

• Objects - explains what objects maps consist of and how these objects are described in detail
• Conflict - explains the basics of conflicts, why they occur, how they are detected and how you can resolve them
• Changeset - explains why you create a changeset when you upload data to the OSM server
• Preferences - some of the setting are not acceptable via settings menu or just spread everywhere in the editor

JOSM tools ¶

Selection:

• Select (S) - contain many modifiers
• Help/Action/LassoMode - unexplained, but you can switch between tool above and lasso by repeatedly tapping "S", then just draw a "lasso" around your objects
• Search (CTRL+F) - a very powerful tool with mini query language
