Validation layer not 100% opaque

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Upon activation, validation layer always appears completely opaque (Validation results panel, Validate, hope something is wrong). I can never use it that way, as I cannot see what is « behind » these thick yellow lines or dots. I then manually decrease the opacity.
I do not think many people use this layer with a 100% opacity.
I suggest that upon activation, this layer be not 100% opaque but rather something like 50%.
