Searching markers in gpx files

Description

When you import a gpx file that contains markers, the markers show on the map but there is no way to search them or list the markers.

I use markers in the gpx file to mark items or points of interest for mapping. It would be very useful to be able to do the following with markers:

  • See an expanded list of markers
  • Be able to toggle visibility of the marker. That would be useful as a way of determining visually which markers has been incorporated or not. Markers can represent non visual information like speed limits which would not always be immediately obvious on a visual inspection.
  • If you have lots of markers, it would be usefull to be able to search through them.

All three actions are possible after converting the marker layer to an OSM data layer …

Set your email in Preferences
Action
as new The owner will remain team.

to The owner will be changed from team to the specified user.
Next status will be 'needinfo'. The owner will be changed from team to ggeldenhuis.
as duplicate The resolution will be set to duplicate. Next status will be 'closed'. The specified ticket will be cross-referenced with this ticket.
The owner will be changed from team to anonymous. Next status will be 'assigned'.
