Description
Hi !
Following #20270, presets has been greatly improved to take care of man_made=utility_pole.
Currently, there are two different icons for those three situations:
- power pole : (man_made=utility_pole + utility=power +) power=pole
- power pole : power=pole + highway=street_lamp
- street lighting pole : man_made=utility_pole + utility=street_lighting
After a few days of usage, having the street lighting icon for power=pole + highway=street_lamp as well is more consistent.
Additionally and if necessary, I could change the casing :
- white casing (like all utility poles): man_made=utility_pole + utility=street_lighting
- usual yellow casing: power=pole + highway=street_lamp
This is a low priority improvement.

Hi Skyper
It's a common matter when it comes to objects supported by others, particularly when supported by various supports.
We can also not render supported objects at all.
We can't conclude regarding man_made=utility_pole + highway=street_lamp: What is the utility of the pole?
This makes me think we should ask for utility when missing. Mapper could whether remove man_made=utility_pole completely or add utility.

If I understood correctly, when a power pole is provided with a street lamp, we should use man_made=utility_pole + utility=street_lamp? Am I right?
Donc si j'ai bien compris, quand il y a un lampadaire sur poteau électrique il faut mettre man_made=utility_pole et utility=street_lamp.
C'est bien ça ?

@HugoC01, this ticket isn't intended to define good practices but to adapt JOSM behavior regarding some tagging.
man_made=utility_pole + utility=street_lighting (+ highway=street_lamp) describes a simple pole with a street lamp, not a power pole.
A power pole with a street_lamp should always be power=pole + highway=street_lamp

Personally, I do not like OSM objects with multiple primary tags. I have a similar situation with guideposts mounted on street lamps. As soon as some values of secondary tags differ, we are in trouble. Therefore, I prefer to have own icons for the different primary tags (combinations).
I found another combination to take a look at:
man_made=utility_pole+highway=street_lamp.
