New edits shown incorrectly in history dialog

If I add a node to a way created by another user then look at the history dialog for the way then I see an additional row with the same version, same user name and same date as the last (even though I made the temporary edit before upload just now). The user name in the tags/nodes detail panel says 'anonymous' (with the previous version also).

Ideally my user account name should appear for the new change, with the version such as '(n+1)?' or just '?', and the current date or 'to be uploaded' or some such.
