Description
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- I do not need the java-fx plugin as
- I do not need the features.
- I have java-fx installed on the OP system.
- I disabled java-fx support in preferences
What is the expected result?
An option to disable java-fx completely (not loading at startup)
What happens instead?
The java-fx plugin is still loaded on startup
Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible.
Even better would be an option have java-fx only as recommended and not required, to be able to uninstall it.
Performance is one of the reasons and another is #19305 but there are probably more. Thanks

Mapillary no longer requires javafx
. It will no longer prevent you from removing javafx
.
Note:
See TracTickets
for help on using tickets.
Mapillary (still) requires
javafx
. I've got a branch I've been meaning to push that removes that dependency, but I need to publish the supporting plugin first. The only (possible) issue is that Mapillary will be depending upon an out-of-tree plugin, so I need to bring it up either here on JOSM Trac or on IRC.Since you have
Mapillary
enabled, it will automatically enablejavafx
in order to not have Mapillary crash (although it is mostly a soft dependency for Mapillary, although there is no real way to indicate that).
