#19317 closed defect (worksforme)

Scrolling using scroll wheel on Mac is way too sensitive (even on 3rd party mouse with all speed settings at minimum)

Reported by: anonymous Owned by: team
Priority: normal Milestone:
Component: Core Version:
Keywords: template_report macosx scroll zoom mousewheel Cc:

Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. use of mouse

What is the expected result?

smallest change I seem to be able to make with my Logitech mouse is about 20x - going from 100m to 5km. overdo it and you're looking at the whole globe.... I've resorted to putting tape over my mouse wheel.

This would be OK if the keyboard zoom shortcuts worked but they are broken too (separate bug reported )

this is having a big impact on productivity using the app

What happens instead?

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible.

Please, check if your zoom is tied to the imagery layer in the layer list panel, see Layer buttons (source:trunk/resources/images/dialogs/layerlist/scale.svg)

What's your setting for "Zoom steps to get double scale" (Help/Preferences/Display)?

Replying to simon04:

What's your setting for "Zoom steps to get double scale" (Help/Preferences/Display)?

Was set to 1. Setting this to 5 has helped a lot.
