Simplify way should pop up a slider to adjust distance

https://josm.openstreetmap.de/wiki/Help/Action/SimplifyWay says we have to dig into Advanced Preferences to adjust the 3 m. default.

But wouldn't it be great if there was a slider that would pop up (almost) every time we clicked Simplify Way,
so we could see the effects of 2..3..4..4.5..5 meters setting right before our eyes before choosing what looks best for the particular way we are editing?
