#14394 closed enhancement (wontfix)
Remove "unnamed way" as a warning, or somehow make it seem less serious

Description
I've noticed that "unnamed way" is a warning for the validation, but for remote or humanitarian mapping we won't know the names unless a local person is mapping. I've noticed in some places people add things like "name=road" or name all the roads for the town in the area, because they think they have to put something in the field. Is there a way to put something in the warning that it's optional?

First step would be to educate people that warnings are warnings. They can be ignored when information is missing. I added a note telling so in the warnings dialog.
Also individual warnings can be disabled or set to ignore, which helps in these cases, when many warnings will occur due to special situations (like the one you describe).
Silencing this warning due to special cases would invalidate the whole idea of the validation.
