Description

Looking at Taveuni - ​https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taveuni - editing it is not quite easy in JOSM because of the 180° meridian.

  • did not find a way to download the whole island
  • scrolling across the +/+- 180 line seems only possible by panning once around the whole globe

Any improvement or workaround would be welcome.

Also, after editing a few points of the coastline JOSM wants to upload 277 objects in 60 changesets - prefer not to test the result on the real OSM database.

Trying to move objects spanning the +/180 line gives an error "can not move objects outside of the world".
