#10518 new enhancement

remove preset landuse=religious (for now)

Description

It seems the tag landuse=religious was introduced in JOSM in #10262

This tag was recently introduced by a handful of users and is quite controversial, because it clashes with the established tag amenity=place_of_worship in a considerable number of cases.
There is a lot of discussion in the @tagging mailing list, however people haven't reached a conclusion yet about it's meaning.

Although I think there may be a place for this tag in OSM, this tag seems to still need more discussion, and shouldn't be rushed to be added in JOSM.
It should be removed from JOSM's presets while there is no consensus in it's meaning.

Cheers,
John

Wasn't it too premature the inclusion of this tag in JOSM, while the opinions and definition are not very well established yet?
