source:trunk/images/mapmode/rope.png Keyboard shortcut: S — is one of the working modes

  1. Activate the mode (press S to toggle between the lasso mode and the source:trunk/images/mapmode/move/move.png regular selection mode).
  2. Draw a loop around the objects.
  3. The selection can then be refined with other selection tools (filters, search, regular selection tool).

Advanced Preferences

Set mappaint.select.toggle-lasso-on-repeated-S to false in the advanced preference to disable the lasso mode completely.
