A checklist to release a new tested version.

• Preparations
  • Fill Changelog
  • Update the preset language wiki links with the script (not high priority, can be omitted)
  • Do a last translation update
  • Move open tickets to next milestone
• Actual switch
  • Mark milestone complete
  • Get the latest built version number
  • Update TestedVersion (write the version also in edit comment, see here)
• Documentation
  • Add date and stable version number at StartupPageSource and add major enhancements from Changelog (if there are ones)
  • Announce at josm-dev@… (if necessary)
  • Update ​https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/JOSM
  • Update ​https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JOSM
  • Update ​https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q12877
  • ​https://www.archlinux.org/packages/community/any/josm/ – Flag Package Out-of-Date
  • Announce at ​Facebook
  • Announce at ​Google+
