#9477 closed defect (duplicate)

Layer offset setting is volatile

Reported by: A_Pirard Owned by: team
Priority: normal Milestone:
Component: Core imagery Version: tested
Keywords: layer, offset Cc:

Description

If I define a Layer Offset A it is selected (ticked) and active (used).
If I try to unselect A, it continues to be ticked and active.
If I restart JOSM, A is no longer ticked (it was) and it became inactive.
I have to click A again each time I start JOSM.
If I define a new offset B, it becomes selected and active.
From then on, I can select A or B but again not none of them.
I choose to use A but JOSM always restart with B active.

Closed as duplicate of #15711.
With #15711 you can now reset an offset to null with a single click.

I won't implement the non-volatility of offset after restart. Like projections, it would be easy for users to forget they changed this parameter, I prefer to be sure the offsets are chosen manually.
