Just noticed that in the most recent "latest" version of [6527], that the preference window now doesn't remember the size the user selected anymore from the last time the window was opened (because of [6522] I think). It was remembering the last user set size/location in the last latest released, [6508].
Now, I happen to run @ 1920x1080, so I personally can have my preference screen be maxed out in height while still showing the main JOSM screen in the background and be able to see all of the icons on the left in that window at once. I also know that some people who use JOSM on laptops and can't run JOSM at the same size I do. However, all users shouldn't be penalized for the few that run on a smaller screen resolution.
Is there anyway to re-add back into JOSM a way so it can somehow remember the size of the preference window from the last time it was opened? How about a check that if the next time JOSM is opened and the screen resolution is smaller than previously, only then does it reset the preference window size? I think this second option might work the best if it can somehow be implemented in my honest opinion.
