Description (last modified by )
The other day I attempted to upload my changes from a short editing session. I was staying at a small hotel with a very weak Wi-Fi link. The upload started but stalled at about 3K of data. I waited for the process to resume but it never did.
After a while, maybe a few minutes, I decided to cancel the upload and try it again later. Alternatively, I might have saved my data in an .OSM file and returned to it when I had a better connection.
Unfortunately, I was unable to cancel the process. I tried clicking on the X to close the dialog box and on the Cancel button. Neither had any effect. I was forced to kill the JOSM program from the Task Manager and lost my edits.
Below is data that describes my system configuration:
JOSM Revision: 6238 Repository UUID: 0c6e7542-c601-0410-84e7-c038aed88b3b URL: http://josm.openstreetmap.de/svn/trunk Last Changed Date: 2013-09-20 00:19:19 +0200 (Fri, 20 Sep 2013) Last Changed Rev: 6238 Identification: JOSM/1.5 (6238 en) Windows 7 64-Bit Memory Usage: 150 MB / 494 MB (53 MB allocated, but free) Java version: 1.7.0_45, Oracle Corporation, Java HotSpot(TM)

This should not solve this problem but you should nevertheless upgrade to latest version of JOSM (6388 is the current tested).
