Description
- Install notes plugin and enable notes panel.
- Close josm
- Open josm, download an area AND gpx traces for it
- As the map appears, notes are downloaded and displayed.
- But GPX traces download window shows no progress, being stuck at 0 traces. Both "cancel" and "background" buttons don't work, so the editor is completely blocked.
Tested in JOSM 6082, Arch Linux 64-bit

Today I switched from Arch/Awesome to Fedora/KDE and now can't reproduce this issue either.

I can't seem to reproduce this. Are you running the latest version of the plugin? I know Ian changed the behavior a little with regards to loading bugs when the map is first being initialized. It used to fire off a notes download immediately after the frame was initialized but before the viewport was set. This resulted in a notes download at 0,0 while things were still being set up. I could understand if this could cause problems under some circumstances.
If you are running the latest version of the plugin then I guess it must be some threading thing that is going to be a pain to track down :)
