Seems to happen only on that machine, as I can not reproduce it on other machines with the same setup.

EDT: I can reproduce on several machines all running wheezy

Description: modified (diff)

I checked again and either I did not see it the last time or something change.

JOSM does not stall but all new windows open in the background and will not raise even when cycling through them. Only solution is to close these windows (using "WIN-key" window overview).

Summary: JOSM stalls in fullscreen with java 7problem with windows in fullscreen with java 7

comment:4 by antoine.adet@…, 12 years ago

I have the same problem with Gnome 3.6.2 and OpenJdk 1.7.0_19 (on Fedora 18 updated). In addition, I have a bug in enlarging the JOSM window with menus, in fact closing the menu when it is clicked.
Sorry for my bad english I am french

Skyper: Still have this problem ?

Well, cycling through the windows now at least raises the preferences dialog if you raise some other program to foreground in between but I still have the problem that it opens in background and it also vanishs to background as soon as the mouse pointer leaves the window with focus behaviour set to "sloppy".

Relation editor windows do not show up at all until you leave fullscreen and yes the well known panel problem still exists, althought it hides after some actions (definitly not a JOSM or java specific problem).

So can we close this ticket? :)

I only have one minor issue. The rest seems to work now.

  • Switching into full screen the Gnome panel is still visible and hides JOSM's main menu. Once you open another window (download, preferences) the Gnome panel vanishes.

Still not sure if it is a JOSM issue.

Can you attach some screenshots with latest JOSM to illustrate this problem? Thanks.

Resolution: othersoftware
Status: newclosed

This is definitely a problem of gnome panel and fullscreen. Have the same issue with flashplayer in fullscreen.

As far as I remember, it is fixed in jessie (testing) due to a higher version of gnome.
