version 5267
on trying to save data layer as xml to an UNC path like
192.168.92.123\OSM\coolname.xml
i get error:
no exportfunction found nothing saved

Works for me, both with hostname and IP address.

Apart of your JOSM version (you should really update it by the way !), what's your system info ? Mine is:

Identification: JOSM/1.5 (5357 SVN en)
Memory Usage: 154 MB / 1816 MB (119 MB allocated, but free)
Java version: 1.7.0_05, Oracle Corporation, Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM
Operating system: Windows 7
