Description
I am running version 5174 and now when I select a way and then use draw nodes on a node at the end of the originally selected way, it doesn't connect to the selected way. This was working yesterday and I am not sure if JOSM has updated and this is what is causing it. It is making editing pretty frustrating.

Replying to simon04:
Cannot reproduce:
- In select mode, select a way
- Enter draw mode
- Click end node
- Draw a way segment
- Notice that segment is added to the previously selected way
Cannot reproduce either.
However, there is a different strange behaviour: For modified ways, it suffices to select the way and enter the draw mode to extend it. For unmodified(?) ways, one has to select the end node …
Yeah, for it depence on my last action in draw mode:
- if my last action was adding a segment to this way, it suffices to select the way and enter the draw mode to extend it.
- for all other ways, I either need to select the end/start node before entering draw mode or as first action in draw mode.

I think these inconsistency is caused by the complexity of the way how drawing works keeping the double click on end and all the special handling in mind. I doubt that chaning this really improves situation :-)
