Description ¶
Maybe this problem is not isolated to GPX-Layers but to all kind of Layers. I had several GPX-Layers where every name appeared twice (one was a compressed version of the other). When I changed to colour of one, the equally named layer changed its colour as well (I wanted to compare the two, so it was a problem). This could be solved either by requiring unique layer names (e.g. by adding a suffix if a Layer with the same name is already loaded) or by refering to them with an identifier which is not the name.

Individual layer settings depend on layer name. When you have equally named layers, you need to rename one of them.
this also applies to line width, not only colour.
