#3308 closed defect (fixed)

menus empty when map layer active

Description

Hi,

I just downloaded the 'latest' JOSM and got a quite nasty bug.
On startup (after downloading some data) there is a layer called "Karte" (Map). As long as I don't delete this layer, all menus just display an empty pulldown when clicked on.

I don't know if this layer is generated by the josm core or by some plugin, as I skipped quite some versions on both.

By the way this is on Mac OS X 10.4. Please find attached the josm status output.

I would have attached it if it wasn't eaten by your spam filter for containing to many links. Just mail me for the log if needed.

Put the log in a archive (e.g. zip) and you can upload it. It is important to see your installed plugins.

I would guess this is caused by a plugin. Are all your plugins up to date?

If your log file is not accepted as zip, mail me it (username+gmail+dot+com). I would look into it. But here (Linux) JOSM works quite normal.

I think this caused by the slippymapplugin. I never have much luck with this plugin. If you not need it disable it. There must be a bug in this plugin prints continously displays the following message (takes much cpu load):

minZoomLvl shouldnt be lees than 2! Setting to 2.

The bug is caused by the 'slippymap' plugin. (I have updated all plugins before)

The menu entries reappear if moved over by the mouse. Inactive entries stay hidden. The bug also affects dialog boxes and even the preference pane. The backround (which should show the mapnik tiles due to the plugin) stays grey.

I have now attached the status report. It's the one with all plugins except slippymap deaktivated.

Well you got me while still typing.

I'll disable the plugin for now. The tile generation on the website is so fast by now, I don't need the plugin anymore.
