#3262 closed defect (worksforme)

Conflict resolution demands that I resolve non-existing coordinate conflict

Reported by: avarab@… Owned by: team
Priority: major Milestone:
Component: Core Version: latest
Keywords: Cc:

Description

  1. I downloaded the 13. ágúst 2009 kl. 00:47 version of North Korea
  2. quicky changes the name=* tag at at 13. ágúst 2009 kl. 01:04
  3. I add a name:is=* tag

When I try to upload I get a tag conflict as expected. But I also get a coordinate conflict (see screenshot) which I have to resolve before I can upload anything.

Why did you expect a conflict? You shouldn't have seen one unless somebody else (our you in another edit session) updated the Pyongyang node in parallel.

It might be that the node was slightly moved in the parallel session and that you therefore had resolve a coordinate conflict.

I run the steps you describe above but I didn't get a conflict and couldn't reproduce. Closing as worksforme.

Replying to Gubaer:

Because when looking at the node's history I could see that it had been modified in the meantime. Of course I didn't expect a conflict before I saved...

It might be that the node was slightly moved in the parallel session and that you therefore had resolve a coordinate conflict.

The history has been deleted now (the link above) but when I did it JOSM showed the exact same coordinate for both versions. Perhaps the coordinate really was changed but in that case JOSM doesn't show it to enough decimal places to display the difference.

I run the steps you describe above but I didn't get a conflict and couldn't reproduce. Closing as worksforme.
