Can confirm, exactly the same results here on the same JOSM build. The data received back from rapideditor.org in JOSM seems to be exclusively Maxar road data, nothing from the Microsoft Building Footprints.

However, could this be the start of a shift from the Facebook/Meta developed MapWithAI service to ​Overture Maps? Both Meta & Microsoft are members of the Overture Maps Foundation. ​https://overturemaps.org/about/members/

Also: the licence links on ​https://rapideditor.org/ for both 'Microsoft ML + Google Open Buildings' & 'ESRI Community Maps Buildings' now point to ​https://docs.overturemaps.org/attribution/#buildings

It looks like the issue is that Overture moved their endpoint and the plugin isn't hardened to this and causes the infinite loading behavior. I can put a fix together but I don't know who has commit access in that repo anymore (Meta laid off most of their map people).

So there's (perhaps?) a bigger question of maybe needing to move to a new fork on github.

I had a look and can merge it. Note that I only care for plugins insofar as I'll merge submits which look ok. I will not really test if there are unwanted side effects. I keep them alive, but do not develop.

First off, thanks so much for addressing this! I'd hacked in some workarounds for the "Loading" issue on my own by manually reverse-engineering the required config for the sources I needed, but then the "MapWithAI" buildings layer had suddenly stopped working and all my attempts to ingest Overture-backed alternatives had failed. I'm presuming this fixes all that, thanks!

Unfortunately, something appears to have gone wrong with these changes, as the MapWithAI plugin is now completely broken and does not load at all on not only both of my JOSM installs, but also on a fresh install with a completely empty profile and only MapWithAI installed. There's no entry in the Data menu, nothing visible in the Download dialog, no MWAI preferences pane at all, and the MapWithAI version--both latest and installed--shows as null in JOSM's Plugins prefs pane, which matches the logged error message Missing plugin main version in plugin mapwithai. As mentioned, I can repro this on a brand new clean JOSM profile with only MWAI installed and absolutely nothing else, and updating plugins, deactivating and reactivating it, and restarting JOSM multiple times had no effect.

Here's the "status report" on my clean JOSM profile with just MWAI, to greatly minimize length and noise (~3 OoM shorter than either of my real profiles). Let me know if there's anything I can try further to troubleshoot this, and lmk if I should open a separate issue.

There's scheme for inherited values for all this and I am way out over my skis with JAVA build stuff so... I hope someone else can take a look and say if this is the "correct" fix.
