Unexpected exception from routing2 while idle

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. I was using the plugin in one layer and moved to another layer to do some other work
2. The routing layer was hidden
3. Doing various other map tasks

What is the expected result?

Nothing from the routing plugin

What happens instead?

exception dialog
