I do not know how often the apikey is checked but now it fails, see #22719.

It was working for me when I was checking to see if that was the case yesterday. It is no longer working. So I think this is unrelated to #22719.
@skyper: IIRC, JOSM only checks for the API key on startup.

Yes my maxar imagery is still showing the error message and not loading at all.

@anonymous: As a sanity check, have you restarted JOSM? If so, can you try flushing the tile cache, and if that doesn't work, remove maxar imagery and readd it from imagery preferences? The last one shouldn't be necessary, but someone on HOTOSM slack said it helped them.

This is the point where I'm going to have you back up your preferences file, reset your preferences, and see if it is still a problem.
- Open the Windows File Explorer
- Go to
%APPDATA%\JOSM
(see wiki:Help/Preferences#Windows) - Move the
preferences.xml
topreferences.xml.backup
or something like that - Start JOSM and see if you are still encountering a problem. If so, the problem is somewhere in the preferences file.
- If that did not fix the problem, copy the backup file back to
preferences.xml
.
Please do not upload your preferences.xml file here -- it can contain sensitive information like your password''
r18650 (just committed) has some stuff to keep a preference export from JOSM from having sensitive keys, but it is not yet available.

Also doesn't work in Vespucci that is using JOSMs imagery index. Maybe an API change?

Some magic happened: today it's showing up again ;) But I did as being told in comment:12...

Closed as duplicate of #22719.
I'm not seeing anything that would indicate the retrieval of the API key failed. And it is currently working for me.
Do you have any kind of proxying set up?
