Description
When creating a rectangular building polygon parallel to an existing building polygon, it is now only possible to expand the building in one direction (Northeast always works, as does one of northwest or southeast). When you try to expand in the other direction, clicking on the second corner has no effect.
The intended behaviour is described at https://blog.mapbox.com/fast-building-tracing-with-josm-58a3c3be9be8 under the Using Area Intersections heading. When you select an existing (rectangular) building you can create a new parallel rectangular building with 2 clicks by selecting 2 opposite corners. It is now only possible to do this if you click on the 2 corners in a particular order (if you use the other order, the 2nd click has no effect).
I'm not sure exactly when this defect was introduced, but it was a relatively recent (last few months) JOSM update that seemed to break it.

The behaviour seems to have been fixed with 35823- must have been a version issue
