Error Message on Data Upload

Reported by: ftcat Owned by: team
Priority: normal Milestone:
Component: Core Version:
Keywords: template_report windows hibernation Cc:

Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Leave JOSM open and computer goes into hibernation for a considerable period of time. Have tried hibernation for a short period but it does not reproduce the problem.
  2. Edit data and upload

What is the expected result?

Comment field has last used comment and source field has last used source information or lasted selected from existing layers if automatic check box selected.

Data upload takes place on clicking 'Upload Changes'

What happens instead?

Comment field empty and drop down empty as well until an entry is made after which drop down is populated.

On clicking 'Upload Changes' are presented with a dialog box "Empty Meta Data .= OpenTopoMap;Bing (or any specified data source) Continue? Okay Cancel" On clicking 'Okay' upload takes place but there is no comment in the resultant changeset. I have found that a comment from a previous changeset may be shown but not the new changeset comment entered.

If upload is cancelled the comment drop down is populated, but the same dialog appears on upload and there is no comment in the resultant uploaded changset.

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible.

Sounds very complicated to investigate and maybe not caused by JOSM itself but by Java... Sorry I won't look into it. If the problem still appears, please close JOSM before going to hibernation.
