JOSM does not display properly Khmer characters in Tag window

The Khmer (Cambodia) characters are not displayed properly in the Tag window. This issue was observed for all the OSM elements that have an associated name from Cambodia.

This issue appears only on a Windows machine (10 enterprise pe 64 bit), on MacOS Khmer characters are displayed properly.
The issue was observed for the following Java versions: 13.0.1, 1.8.0_22

Thanks for your report, however your ticket is incomplete and therefore not helpful in its current form.

Please add all needed information according to this list:

  • The required parts of the Status Report from your JOSM.
  • Describe what behaviour you expected.
  • Describe what did happen instead.
  • Describe if and how the issue is reproducible.
  • Add any relevant information like error messages or screenshots.

To ensure that all technical relevant information is contained, create new tickets by clicking in JOSMs Main Menu on Helpsource:trunk/resources/images/bug.svg Report Bug.

Also there is no access to the google drive links.

Also have a look at

trunk/src/org/openstreetmap/josm/tools/PlatformHookWindows.java#L547

There the needed fonts are specified. Maybe you're missing them and can install them?

I will take a look at your suggestion. I could not upload the print screens directly to the bug report
Our issue is that Josm displays squares instead of the corresponding texts.

Modify Ticket

Change Properties
Set your email in Preferences
Action
as new The owner will remain team.
as The resolution will be set. Next status will be 'closed'.
to The owner will be changed from team to the specified user.
Next status will be 'needinfo'. The owner will be changed from team to jBeata.
as duplicate The resolution will be set to duplicate. Next status will be 'closed'. The specified ticket will be cross-referenced with this ticket.
The owner will be changed from team to anonymous. Next status will be 'assigned'.
