Description (last modified by Don-vip)

Dear OSM-Team,

my problem is that if I check the .osm file in a browser with just the written data like:

<node id="-8" visible="true" version="1" lat="0.04843958546" lon="0.08653239334"/>

the IDs are different to the ones are shown in the josm editor. Can you fix this please or is there maybe already an option for handling this?

Thank you very much.

Best regards,
Florian Stelzer

Negative ids are not meant to remain stable, thus are not displayed.

If you see only "0" as id for new objects you can set osm-primitives.showid and osm-primitives.showid.new-primitives to true in the advanced preferences to see negative ids. Not sure if this is helpful for you.
