What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Installing the preset "stolpersteine" by users "Lübeck,Gmbo" or preset "Stolpersteine - Light Version" by users "Lübeck,Gmbo,Klumbumbus".
2. Re-starting josm.

What is the expected result?

A working preset. ;-)

What happens instead?

You got a requester after starting josm telling you to check your proxy-settings (which are fine) because it can´t download the file ​https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/f4/Stolpersteinicon.png

The file exist, of course?!

Additional given info was it was failed because of "sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target".

Error after starting josm with preset "Stolperstein"

Might be a temporary problem, we usually have no problem with Wikimedia servers. Can you please try again and see if the error still happens? If so, can you please try with openjdk-11?

Hi,
I had gotten the error since a few months (at each start of josm) so I thought the developer might have it, too - and waiting for a fix without looking if it was already a known issue. :-\ Well, not the best solution, I know.

OK, today I had changed the Java to "Java version: 11.0.2+9, Oracle Corporation, OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM" as you requested and what should I say? Well, no more error-requester after starting josm. Seems like in java 8 the certs are something like out-of-date so it won´t work with it - or whatever, anything else.

Well, thank´s for bringing back my casual work-flow (without clicking this error-message away).
