building mode broken

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. go to building mode ("b" or icon)
2. draw a building

What is the expected result?

a rectangular building

What happens instead?

draws a circular building

Not a core problem, nor a problem of building_tools.

The building_tools plugin has two modes - draw circular building or draw rectangular building.
It can be switched on in menu > Data > set building shape to circle (Alt + Z) OR set building shape to rectangle (Alt + R).

It works just as intended... It seems to me, that Alt+Z might be pressed by mistake.
