Description
The line next to the members in the Relation Editor, which indicates continuity of ways, should be drawn continuous even if nodes are interspersed between the ways.
It would also be nice if it could to this in case platform ways are in between. For this to be meaningful, ways tagged with highway=platform/railway=platform/public_transport=platform, should get a horizontal line instead of a vertical one.
If there is a way before and a way after, which have nodes in common, this horizontal line could become a cross. (or in the case of a relation where 2 vertical lines would be drawn, a 'double cross', I mean a horizontal line with 2 vertical ones going through).
The node that the continuity line 'bypasses' is very likely not an end node of one or both of the ways. It is most likely an isolated node next to the highway/railway. The same applies to the platform way.

I think we should drop this request. Platforms and stops should be added at the beginning of the relation - because they are not really between the ways, but must of the time they are along a way. So having them somewhere in between the ways is ambiguous any way.
For PT2 routes, JOSM displays the ways correctly.
Any objections on closing this?

For PTv2 this makes no sense any more. For e.g. turn-restrictions we have #18645.

See #18645 for a more general request.
