Description
Hi,
you added a French map entry today. In this form it does not work for multiple reasons:
- There is an wrong "wms:" in the URL
- Even with fixed URL I didn't get any non-empty tile because LAYERS= is empty. It should be cg44:ortho44-2016
- Projections are missing. They nearly support all possible codes, so we need to select a useful subset (EPSG:3857, EPSG:4326 and the original image projection EPSG:2154 sound sensible, maybe additional some projections used in France).
- The attribution URL is wrong (also for the existing 2012 entry)
I found a "http://data2.loire-atlantique.fr/licences/". Could this be correct? If yes, could some of the French speakers contact them about https? When acessing the page by https it says that "data2.loire-atlantique.fr" is no valid hostname for that certificate.
Note, that there is a preview feature for entries, to see if there are working and correct.

I have correct some mistakes i have made :
- The licence page for 2012 orthophoto. The licence you found is in the previous version of the website, it is the good licence for the 2012. The site is no more updated so the certificate will always block https.
- I have delete "wms:" from the URL. First time i have put this because i have seen it in the Lyon orthophoto WMS.
- I have add "cg44:ortho44-2016" after the LAYER.
- I have add the three projections code you have talk about.
- I have correct the licence and attribution text in the 2016 ortho.
- I have contact them and will delete the wms if they disagree.

I have close the issue because the layer seems to work.

On https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/FR:Sources_de_donn%C3%A9es_potentielles/France#Couverture_d.C3.A9partementale it says ODBL, while you added cc-by-sa. whats right? and if it is cc-by-sa do we have an explizit permission as this is by default not compatible with ODBL and therefore not allowed to trace data in OSM from this source.

Thanks for reopen, i did close because i thougth everything was fine. The two orthophoto have two different licence. I will add the info about the 2016 orthophoto on the OpenStreetMap wiki. There is a website dedicated to the orthophoto 2016 of Loire-Atlantique. It give more information on the licence, for me it is an explizit permission. here the text in french :

The text says CC-BY-SA 2.0, which is by default not compatible unless there is an explizit statement from the owner that it is allowed for use in osm. I don't see this in the license text.

Hello i receive an email reply from Loire Atlantique.
It is clearly autorized. I close the issue and here is the french text :
Bonjour,
Cordialement

There is a precision to take into account on this website: NB: images from 1850, 1949, 1999, 2004 and 2009 are not part of the stream and are not open. So no problem with 2016 but we must be careful that nobody adds these older entries.

The license should be "http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.0/fr/" for the 2016 data, since it's what mentioned on the website. The attribution should be "© Loire-Atlantique ouverture des données publiques" (same reason).
On the website, the license is explicited for the 2016 WMS, but not for the other years, so, I don't know if the 2012 layer is covered. I think you should check with them (contact@…) before adding them.
Note: I'm one of the dev who worked on the website.
