Description
I have an idea much smarter way than trying to grab 1, 2, and 3 and move them
into place one by one.
Please implement it as an additional method.
First create the 1, 2, 3 as usual.
Now switch to a different layer, put the mouse on the corresponding "1a"
"2a" and "3a" points, and right click on each and pick "snap 1 to 1a"
etc.
Voila! No more photograph flipping over and twisting and having to be
dragged little by when you are dragging points 2 and 3 to their matching
places.

The three markers might be very far or very near each other.
The order in which you grab them might flip the whole picture on its backside... an intermediate step the user should not see.
As we know we need to zoom in to be able to grab the tiny anchor pixel.
Then move it as far as we can, then zoom out to recenter etc. then zoom in etc. whatever.
If the user has not found three points near the edge, and must use three points nearer the middle, he will always end up with the horrible
distorted mess I have shown in the attachment... where proceeding further would take hours... trust me.
