#15094 new enhancement

Windows>Tags>right-click menu consistency & simplicity

Description

In order to lessen JOSM's reputation for difficulty a tiny bit.
For uniformity, greater usability and faster understanding, I suggest

  • that Edit>Paste Tags also appeared as Windows>Tags>right-click>Paste Tags
  • renaming Windows>Tags>right-click>Copy all Key(s)/Value(s) -> Copy (all?) Tags
  • renaming Windows>Tags>right-click>Copy selected Key(s)/Value(s) -> Copy selected Tag(s)
  • that the first 2, maybe even 3, maybe more relevant entries, appeared (also) when right-clicking in the blank space of the window.

I hope I made it right :-)

TIA.

There are a lot more places where we use key/value and could use tag instead:

  • Merge dialog: Keep the selected key/value pairs from the server dataset
  • inspect primitive: has direction keys (reversed)
  • Tag panel: Delete the selected key in all objects, Search Key/Value/Type, Search Key/Value
  • Tag editor: Remove old keys from up to {0} object,

And there are many uses of both key and tag key, which we might then change to tag key, at least for dialogs that do not have any other tag context.
