I install it through source "deb https://josm.openstreetmap.de/apt trusty universe". If I remember there was an update at the end of last week and I think it was the first time I run it since the update.
However, yesterday evening it was impossible to launch it and today, after a shutdown and a reboot of the the PC, it works fine. So maybe it was something wrong on the PC which was fixed by a reboot. I thing you can close the ticket.
