Description

A Plugin or something which could be used to query ​Commons for geocoded images of historic buildings, art and other interesting objects would often be extremely usefull.

Sounds like an enhancement for the wikipedia plugin.

@Skyper Could be. What I would like to see though is something that would work in a way similar to the Mapillary plugin (show the location of the images in the edit window).

My initial search before adding this ticket didn't reveal it, but just now I stumbled on https://josm.openstreetmap.de/ticket/8472.
