The JOSM plugin is unusable and does not respond if Mapillary data is loaded for a larger bounding box.
Practically I can't: zoom in/out, move the map, click on anything in JOSM, I can't even remove the layer.
Perhaphs you should display for bigger bounding boxes a heat-map/clusters to indicate where Mapillary data is available.

If you are still encountering this issue, I've got a prerelease available at https://github.com/JOSM/Mapillary/releases/tag/v2.0.0-alpha.1 . It significantly changes the download and rendering code.
