Plus sign (add node on way) renders different depending on place=* presence

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Download some area with ways
2. Observe how "+" on ways is rendered, it's sharp
3. Add place=village on screen
4. Check different rendering of "+" sign on ways. It's blurred.

Without place	With place

What is the expected result?

Sharp rendering regardless of place=village presence

What happens instead?

Blurred rendering of "+"
