Description
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Since yesterday while normally editing the map after very short time (frequently less than 5 minutes) JOSM crashes even causing Ubuntu 14.04 to return to login screen
- Sometimes shortly before this event the text color in parts of the JOSM window inverts or vanishes
What is the expected result?
What happens instead?
Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible.
Yesterday OpenJDK was updated from openjdk-7-jre:i386 7u79-2.5.6-0ubuntu1.14.04.1 to 7u85-2.6.1-5ubuntu0.14.04.1, may be this is the reason. So far JOSM didn't have any problems with OpenJDK and also reverting to previous versions of JOSM didn't solve the problem.

In #12000 the same behaviour is reported for Ubuntu 15.10 and Java 7u85-2.6.1-5ubuntu0.15.10.1 with JOSM 8927.
