JOSM is ignoring keyboard

Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. unfortunately I have no idea beyond "keep using JOSM"

What is the expected result?

Keyboard input (shortcuts, in textboxes) is not ignored

What happens instead?

Keyboard start to be randomly blocked. After restart JOSM works correctly for some time.

Depending on situation I observed
(1) esc and enter are not working
(2) in additiion - selecting textbox and typing is not resulting in text appearing in textbox (like in this case)
(3) in addition - shortcuts are not working (in addition to esc and enter key)

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible.

I observed it many times, but always it was turning out that I am using not latest version and before it happened again new JOSM was available.

Other applications are working fine, for example this bug report was written without any problems.
