Why should we prefer 'classic+skating' over 'classic;skating'? Whats the reason for this? Was there a discussion about this?

The wiki prefers 'classic+skating' over 'classic;skating' since 7 January 2010. Is there any reason for not being consistent with the wiki?

I cant tell you about the reason or discussion. I was not involved in that.

There is no reason to use the personal preference of a single user, who changed the wiki. The default separator for multiple values of one key is ;. Maybe the wiki needs an correction.
