Join node to way failed to detect near way crossing node

Description

When I move a node close to existing node which is a two-way-crossing-node, and then I press "j" to join this node, JOSM v.7588 join not to the crossing node, but to the closest way.
I thing when joining node to way, the node should be joined with existing node if it is close enough.

The bug is present in the lastest version 7643 too.

For this action, you only need to drag one node onto another while holding Ctrl. Otherwise "join node to way" needs to reflect the whole conflict system for nodes.

Type: defect → enhancement

Not a bug, that's the intended behaviour of this action. Use Ctrl-drag as skyper suggested, or Merge Nodes, to do what you want.

The resolution will be deleted. Next status will be 'reopened'.

Add Comment
E-mail address and name can be saved in the Preferences .
