This ticket is a follow up on #10640.

What about a link at the end of the yellow box, e.g. Dieser Text auf deutsch which links to a wikipage with the translated text?

or a list on the right which looks the same like the common "other languages" box which is on most other wiki pages. The links would als lead to a wiki page with the translated text of the yellow box and a link at the end "go back to create the ticket".

if it's too complicated people will never click on the link anyway... Please translate the text in this ticket as a comment I'll see if I can hardcode the translation... German, French and Russian should be enough.

Ok. Before I start to translate, I think the text needs an update. The new menu entry is easier to find.

Ah yes, you're right. I added a sentence to the translation in comment:8, which means in english:

Please write the information in english if possible, so all developers can understand the problem.

Yes looks good, but please with 1.2.3. instead of 1.1.1. to not to confuse the writer of the bug report.

Think, this information is missing in some languages, as the English version does not include it. Not sure if you accept tickets in French atm, but it will not harm to have this note in all but the English version.

Yes. Missing for ru, pt and es.

We also accept tickets in foreign language (praise Google translate), but English is preferred, as this allows interaction. :-)

I think we should add to the text that before you create a ticket, you should update Java, JOSM and the JOSM plugins and check if the bug disappears.

This makes the text longer (which reduces the likelihood a bit that it will be read at all), but I assume this would save at least 5% of new tickets :)

that's my main concern. It's fine to have a ticket for an old JOSM Version... when we know the version. People who ignore the warning will not read whatever text we add to help them. They are determined to post a ticket without reading anything.

as The resolution will be set.
The resolution will be deleted. Next status will be 'reopened'.

Add Comment
E-mail address and name can be saved in the Preferences .
