It is my mostly failed attempt at fitting http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:SVG_coat_of_arms_elements_-_grain#mediaviewer/File:Coa_Illustration_Elements_Plant_Wheat.svg into 16x16 px, but maybe it is better that no icon.

The cereal.png image looks nice, but please note that artwork included in JOSM core must be GPL compatible. This excludes GNU FDL and any creative commons license except CC0, prohibiting most of the material on wikimedia commons.
The following licenses are okay: LGPL, Apache 2.0, permissive licenses like MIT, BSD and CC0. And of course GPL, unless it is restricted to version 2, only.
One question though, how do want the icon displayed on the map (landuse=farmland is an area)?

Icon would appear in tag adding menu, on list of recently used tags. Also, I plan on using it on areas after fixing #10176
OK, I will maybe try to make a new one from scratch. So probably this ticket should be closed as provided icon is not usable.

instead of closing it we can set it to needinfo. Set it back to new if you manage to create or find a suitable icon :)

The icon is now licensed under GPL v2 or later, we can use it :)

I just found other possibility and indexed it at https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Field_icons - but it also requires rescaling to 16x16 :(
Maybe just display tractor from tracktype but make it green?
