For the link I get

http://josm.openstreetmap.de/log/josm/?verbose=on&format=rss&limit=100&mode=stop_on_copy

which seems to work.

Yes this link works. I get this link too, if I log out.
If I'm logged in, then I get the following link, which doesn't work:
https://josm.openstreetmap.de/login?referer=/log/josm/?verbose=on&format=rss&limit=100&mode=stop_on_copy

Strange, would it be a bug from Trac itself?

comment:6 by Klumbumbus, 11 years ago

I don't know. There is a similar problem with the ical link on https://josm.openstreetmap.de/roadmap. There is also the "login?referer=" in the link.

Please report this to Trac. Happens for all pages, even this ticket page. Seems the URL is broken as soon as you are logged in.

Before creating a ticket there (http://trac.edgewall.org/wiki/NewTicket) it says "If you're not the administrator of the Trac site, please don't create a ticket here but rather inform your Trac administrator about the problem"

Replying to Klumbumbus:

Before creating a ticket there (http://trac.edgewall.org/wiki/NewTicket) it says "If you're not the administrator of the Trac site, please don't create a ticket here but rather inform your Trac administrator about the problem"

Well you did and the admin told you to proceed, so go on :-)

P.S. Is the same on the main trac itself, so it is a main trac issue. Maybe it should be a feature somehow. I don't know. At least it seems to expect transparent login, which is not true for this trac instance.

P.S. refer to that ticket in main trac.

I found this thread http://trac.edgewall.org/ticket/540#comment:104

And in the Trac-users Mailing list http://trac.edgewall.org/wiki/MailingList I found a lot of threads where the solution to such problems should be http://trac-hacks.org/wiki/HttpAuthPlugin.
Would this help for josm-trac?

We used http authentication in the past and switched to current method. I don't remember the reasons. I need to check if there is a solution to fix this only for RSS.

Resolution: fixed
Status: newclosed

Could you please try? These links should now work as expected (by bypassing login).

comment:14 by Klumbumbus, 11 years ago

It works on this ticket page but not on journal or changelog.

comment:15 by stoecker, 11 years ago

Should now also work. :-)
