When click in "Select, move and rotate mode", JOSM should not automatically switch to "Draw node mode" and add a new node

It seems this is introduced by the recent JOSM change.

To reproduce:

  • Press "S", JOSM switch to "Select mode";
  • Click anywhere in the map
  • Now JOSM is in "Draw mode" and a new node is created.

This should not happen because the editor was set in select mode. No node should be created in this mode.

This change is stupid. It may help beginners, but many annoying useless nodes could be created in this way.

This only happens when you enabled the Potlatch style drawing mode.

A note: Using "stupid" in a bug report usually does not shows the right mood to attract developers to fix your problems.
