Steps to reproduce

  1. Turn on Preferences->Display Settings->Look and Feel->Display Object ID in selection lists
  2. Open selection and relation lists
  3. Create a new node, way and relation
  4. upload data to server

JOSM won't display the new object id's it gets from the server in the selection and relation dialog until the user somehow triggers a re-draw of the screen by clicking or doing something else to trigger a re-draw.

JOSM should trigger a re-draw when it gets the new object id's from the server.
